— WESTERNPORT — Matilda Anne Pamepinto, 82, died at Moran Manor Nursing Home on Tuesday April 16, 2013. She was a former resident of Piedmont, W.Va. and Luke.

Anne was born in Luke, on Nov. 26, 1930, and was the daughter of the late Francis McGreevy and Mary C. (Gormley) McGreevy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Pamepinto in 2011; one brother, Jackie McGreevy; and two sisters, Kitty Riley and Agnes Schoppert.

She was a member of Saint Peter’s Catholic Church in Westernport. She formerly worked for the C and P Telephone Company in Piedmont and was the owner and operator of Anne’s Beauty Salon in Piedmont for many years. She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW in McCoole, and she and her husband were former members of the El Fidel Club. She was an animal lover and loved to work with flowers in her garden.

Anne is survived by her son, Peter “Pete” Pamepinto and wife Deborah of New Creek, W.Va.; one sister, Margaret Meyer and husband Phillip of Winchester, Va.; and one brother, Frank McGreevy of Winchester. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Stepanie Furstenburg and husband Jimmy of Cumberland and Tina Matthews and husband Dale of Luke; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the Fredlock Funeral Home, Piedmont, on Thursday from 6 until 9 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Westernport, on Friday at 11 a.m. with Father Eric Gauchet as Celebrant.

Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
