MCHENRY — Jerry Lee Humberson, 60, of McHenry, died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
Born March 23, 1953, in Oakland, he was the son of Bruce Humberson, Friendsville and the late Geraldine “Dean” (Friend) Humberson. He was preceded in death by a sister, Donna.
Jerry was the owner and operator of Humberson Homes, Inc. and Humberson Homes Real Estate, McHenry. He was also employed as a realtor and was owner of Jearbryo’s Restaurant. He was a charter member of Southern Garrett County Rescue Squad, member of Deep Creek Volunteer Fire Department, McHenry Highland Festival, Home Builders Association of Western Maryland, Tri-County Council of Western Maryland, National Association of Realtors and was a contributor to the Northern High School band program as well as various local organizations.
In addition to his father, he is survived by one sister, Judy Livengood and husband, Norman, Friendsville; two brothers, Freddie Humberson, Friendsville and Marty Humberson and wife, Debbie, McKeesport, Pa.; and eight nieces and nephews.
Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 943 Second Ave., Friendsville, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Michael Robinson officiating.
Interment will be in Humberson Cemetery.
