MT. STORM, W.Va. — Helen C. Lambka, 96, of Mt. Storm, W.Va., passed away on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012 at the Heartland of Keyser in Keyser, W.Va. She was born in Mt. Storm on Dec. 27, 1915, the daughter of the late Neil and Blanche Hanlin. She was preceded in death by her husband William Lambka.
Mrs. Lambka was a member of the Mt. Storm Presbyterian Church in Mt. Storm, W.Va., where she attended faithfully. She was a member of the VFW Post 6785 and Post 6454 Ladies Auxiliary and the Mt. Storm Lions Club. Helen worked for many years and retired from the Mountaineer Motel in Mt. Storm, W.Va.
Mrs. Lambka is survived by two sons, Neil Ludwig Lambka of Mt. Storm, W.Va., and Gary Lambka and wife, Dorothy, of Mt. Storm, W.Va.; one daughter-in-law, Pauline Lambka of Elk Garden, W.Va.; seventeen grandchildren, forty-one great-grandchildren and nineteen great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Lambka is preceded in death by two sons, Gene Lambka and David Lambka; one infant son, Gail Lambka; two daughters, Anna Blanche Dixon and Wilda Dale Lambka; three brothers, David Hanlin, Edward Hanlin and Gerald Hanlin; one sister, May Cosner; one grandson, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mt. Presbyterian Church in Mt. Storm, W.Va. The Rev. Joan Wilson will officiate funeral services on Monday, Nov. 19, 2012 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of the Mt. Storm Presbyterian Church.
Interment will be at Idleman Cemetery in Mt. Storm.
