FORT ASHBY, W.Va. — Ada Lou (Barnes) Queen, 73, of Fort Ashby, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 at Heartland of Keyser Nursing Home.
Born July 3, 1939 in Fort Ashby, she was the daughter of the late Edgar V. Barnes and Virgie Mae (Keplinger) Barnes.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Martin Queen, on April 6, 1992; two brothers and one sister.
Mrs. Queen had worked at the orchard packing shed, the shoe factory, and the garment factory as a seamstress.
She was Baptist by faith.
Survivors include her brother, Harley L. Barnes and wife Kathy, Fort Ashby; three sisters, Tamala Sue Peer and husband Tim, Fort Ashby, Anna Goldizen, Maysville, W.Va., and Bertha Jane McCormick, Winchester, Va.; and, several nieces and nephews.
As per her wishes, the funeral arrangements are private.
