— OAKLAND — Herbert Eugene Wolf Sr., 76, of Oakland, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013, at his home.

Born March 5, 1937, in Oakland, he was the son of the late Fredolen Lee and Edna Mahale (Platter) Wolf Sr.

Herbert was employed as a heavy equipment operator with the Mount Storm Power Station, Mount Storm, W.Va. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of the Beachwood Rod and Gun Club.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Alice (Savage) Wolf; one son, Herbert E. Wolf Jr. and wife, Robin, Oakland; two daughters, Beverly J. Beaumier and husband, Jim. Algona, Iowa, Rhonda K. Kroll and husband, Rick, Barton; two brothers, Donald Wolf, Oakland, Fredolen Wolf Jr., Deer Park; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A. 203 S. Second St., Oakland, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the Loch Lynn Church of God on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Ivan Ackerman and Pastor Cindy Ackerman officiating.

Interment will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Oakland. Military honors will be accorded by the various veterans’ organizations of Southern Garrett County.
