— HYNDMAN, Pa. — Jonathan Andrew Matson, 26, of Hyndman, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, June 19, 2013.

Born July 6, 1986, in Everett, Pa., he was a son of Andrew G. and Kathy A. (Deneen) Matson.

He is survived by his parents, Andrew and Kathy Matson, of Hyndman; his girlfriend, Kensey Humphries; brothers, Jeremy and Josh Logsdon and three nephews, Chance and Channing Logsdon and Jeremiah Twigg, all of Hyndman.

Jonathan was a 2004 graduate of Fort Hill. He worked at Culligan Water Company. He was a member of Winifred Road Church of Christ.

Jonathan enjoyed baseball and softball. He was on Team Mezzo and Bangout softball teams. He was inducted in the Cooperstown Little League Umpires Association and was active umpiring little league and softball games in the Cumberland area. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed fishing and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence St., Hyndman, on Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m. where a service will follow at 5 p.m. with Pastor Leo Lavin III officiating.
