OAKLAND — Kim Alan Meyers, 57, of Oakland, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014 at Oakland Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Oakland.
Born on April 14, 1956, in Oakland, he is the son of Wilma (Lee) Meyers and the late Samuel Harrison Meyers Jr.
Kim worked as a technician with the National Resources Conservation Service on planning and engineering projects.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Jackie Jeanette (Beckman) Meyers; a son, Christopher Bryson Meyers and wife, Jessica, Oakland; a daughter, Brianne Nicole Rowh and husband, Wesley, Columbia; a brother, Kenny Meyers and wife, Connie, Oakland; seven sisters, Jane Middlebrough and husband, David, Georgetown, Ky., Vicki Thayer and husband, Jerry, Oakland, Kathy Helbig and husband, Terry, Oakland, Denise Helbig, Oakland, Diana Ashby and husband, Joe, Oakland, Nancy Pagenhardt and husband, Monty, Oakland, Kris Cathell and husband Terry, Cumberland; two granddaughters, Finley Rowh and Silver Meyers.
Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 Memorial Dr., Oakland, on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m.
Services were conducted in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Roger Kitzmiller officiating.
Interment was held in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens, Oakland.
