KEYSER, W.Va. — Diana Jean Twyman, 64, of Maple Avenue, Keyser, died Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the home of her son in Carpendale, W.Va.
Born on March 6, 1949 at Petersburg, W.Va., she was the fourth of 14 children born to the late Charles B. Redman Sr. and Elizabeth Belle (Taylor) Redman. She also was preceded in death by a son, Benny Twyman; a granddaughter, Jane Shockley; two brothers, Gregory Dean Redman and Charles B. Redman Jr.; and a sister, Saundra Kay Allen.
Ms. Twyman was a loving homemaker, companion, mother, grandmother and sister. She loved people and relished in providing wisdom and insight from her own experiences in life. She was a member of the First Church of God in Christ, Piedmont, W.Va., Chapter 191, Women of the Moose, Keyser, and was an avid bingo player.
Surviving are her beloved companion, Frederick H. “Freddie” Washington of Piedmont; her loving children, Loran E. Twyman Jr. and companion Teresa Stickell of Martinsburg, W.Va., Lori A. “Sissy” Twyman and companion Scott Clifford of Cumberland, Chanse E. Twyman and wife Stephanie of Manassas, Va. and Rodney D. Twyman and fiancée, Danielle Watts of Carpendale; her loving grandchildren, Erica Taylor, Tiara and Tara Morgan, Jonta Nash, Jarran and Jarrick Shockley, Laila and Kamryn Twyman and Ashley Watts; her great-granddaughter, Aubrie N. Redman; and a special beloved niece, Tara Alta Brooks of Morgantown, W.Va. Also left to cherish her memory is her church mother and spiritual mentor, Doris Green of Piedmont; her special friend and brother in Christ, Rev. Darin Allen; her brothers and sisters, Louise Elizabeth Redman-Gilmore of Piedmont, Linda Lee Harvey of Keyser, Robin Redman-Brown and husband William of Newark, Del., Robert Dale Redman and wife Yvonne of Keyser, Roberta Gale Redman of Keyser, Alta Charlene Brooks and husband Micky of Keyser, Michael Dennis Redman of Honolulu, Hawaii, Vanessa Gaynell Allen of Keyser, Roscoe Maurice Redman of Keyser, Jeffery Ray Redman of Keyser; her special bingo buddies, Janice Martin, Judy Williamson, Karen Scalan and Sheena Winkler; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Monday, June 17, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Darin Allen and the Rev. Darnell Allen officiating.
Interment will be in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale.
