AURORA, W.Va. — Mildred Arline Stemple, 86, of Aurora, passed away June 17, 2013 at Mon General Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.

She was born June 6, 1927 in Amboy, W.Va., a daughter of the late Harry Edward Ark and Lavina Mae (Hemrick) Ark. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Willie C. Knotts; daughter, Dolores Bee; and sister, Hazel Dillsworth.

She is survived by her current husband, Dale Stemple; daughters, Sandy Stemple, Peggy (Bryant) Cramer, both of South Charleston, W.Va.; grandchildren, Denise (Gary) Bachtel, Amy (Jeff) Corder, Robert Cramer; and great-grandchild, Willie Bachtel.

    Mrs. Stemple retired from Garrett Memorial Hospital after over 20 years working as a nursing assistant. She was a member of Amboy United Methodist Church, Farm Women Circle, Senior Citizens-Union District; she enjoyed gardening and spending time friends and family.  

Friends will be received at the Aurora United Methodist Memorial Building on Wednesday, June 19, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, June 20, 2013 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the funeral hour. The Rev Cheryl George will officiate.

Interment to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery (Lantz Ridge), Aurora.
