— ROMNEY, W.Va. — Helen Marie Saville, 79, of Romney, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013, surrounded by her family at Hampshire Center, Romney, W.Va.

Born on Aug. 31, 1933, in Springfield, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Carl McBride and Virgie (Lewis) McBride. She was preceded in death along with her parents; two brothers, Carl McBride Jr. and Roger McBride; two sisters, Mary McBride, Alice Howle and a grandson, Kenny Cheshire.

Helen was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Tearcoat Church of the Brethren. She had worked at Miller’s and Shanholtz orchards for many years. She loved to cook and was an excellent one and also enjoyed making beautiful crafts.

Surviving is her husband, George Savillle; three daughters, Connie Lepley and husband Ed, Bonnie Saville and Donna Potter and husband Gary all of Romney, W.Va.; a brother, Joe McBride and wife Donna, of Three Churches, W.Va.; three sisters, Anna “Sissy” McBride, of Three Churches, W.Va., Linda Davis and husband Alvin and Shirley Davis and husband Denzil, all of Augusta, W.Va.; a brother-in-law, Jerry Howle, of Abileen, Texas; grandchildren, John Cheshire and wife Kristy, Darin Potter, Dustin Potter and wife Pam, Darlene Shoemaker and husband Albert, Bryan Malcolm and Kristin Malcolm; step-granddaughter, Sheri Swick; great-grandchildren, Christian and Katelyn Cheshire, Nikki and Peanut Smith and Christopher Potter; step great-grandchildren, Hannah and Brookie Shoemaker, Angel Schultz, Catie Cartwright and Whisper Sandefur and adopted family Bea Taylor, Dottie Taylor and family, Bell Taylor and family and Kandi Kesner.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Tearcoat Church of the Brethren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, June 22, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Tearcoat Church of the Brethren with Pastor Tom Rowan and Pastor Robert Jeffreys officiating.  

Interment will follow at the Ebenezer Cemetery, Romney, W.Va.
