— KEYSER, W.Va. — Leon E. "Butch" Treutle, 74, of S. Water Street, Keyser, died Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.

Born on June 24, 1938 at Keyser, he was a son of the late Harold William and Vivian K. (Siever) Treutle. He also was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Treutle.

Mr. Treutle was employed for 40 years with the Westvaco Corporation. He was a 1956 graduate of Keyser High School and attended Potomac State College. He served as a Little League baseball coach in the late 1960's and early 1970's for the Keyser Jaycees Giants, was an instrumental part in developing the DeMolay program in Keyser and was a member of Davis Lodge 51, A.F. & A.M., Keyser.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Lessie Kay (Weasenforth) Treutle; four children, Jean E. Crites and husband L.E. "Nip" Crites and Leon E. Treutle and wife Karol, all of Stephens City, Va., Christopher Allen Treutle and wife Maria of Boynton Beach, Fla. and Katherine A. Treutle and Todd Kuzia of Capon Bridge, W.Va.; nine grandchildren, Denise Crites, Jeannette Doss, Jodi Ellsworth, Ethan Treutle, Na-than Treutle, Gabriella Treutle, Clinton Davis, Crystal Ray and Aaron Davis; and seven great-grandchildren, Chasen, Skylar, Caden, Hannah, Chase, Alyc and Adelicia.

Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jerry Eisenhour officiating.

Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser. Graveside Masonic Rites will be accorded by Davis Lodge 51, A.F. & A.M.
