KIMBERLY L. WHETZEL [Maysville, W.Va.]

MAYSVILLE, W.Va. — Kimberly Lynn (Goldizen) Whetzel, 34, of Maysville, W.Va., passed away Monday, April 21, 2014 at her home.

She was born Sept. 4, 1979, in Cumberland, and was the daughter of Terry A. Goldizen of Petersburg, W.Va., and the late Diane (Rohrbaugh) Goldizen.

Kimberly attended Petersburg High School. She was a volunteer for the Civil Air Patrol and Boy Scouts in Petersburg. She was a member of the Cornerstone Family Fellowship where she taught Sunday School.

She is survived by her father, Terry A. Goldizen and his wife Linda of Petersburg, W.Va.; her husband of 9 years, Derek C. Whetzel; two sons, Martin Turner and Seth Whetzel and one daughter, Delana Whetzel, all at home; one brother, Rob Goldizen and his girlfriend, Martha Hawkins of Fairmont, W.Va.; mother and father-in-law, Roger and Jean Whetzel of Mount Storm, W.Va., and several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Wednesday and Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.

Funeral service will be on Friday at 11 a.m. (April 25, 2014) at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with the Rev. Stephen B. Landis officiating. Interment will be in the Goldizen Family Cemetery on Jordan Run Road, Maysville, W.Va.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Whetzel Family, 385 Broad Run Maysville, WV 26833.
