SHORT GAP, W.Va. — Robbie Wayne Bean, 25, of Short Gap, died Thursday, May 1, 2014, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland.
Born on May 10, 1988, at Petersburg, he was a son of Robert Bean of Keyser and Sheila (Doman) Smith and step-father, Michael Smith of Burlington. Robbie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clifford and Twila Doman and Arthur and Juanita Bean.
Robbie was a 2009 graduate of Allegany College of Maryland in the fields of EKG, Phlebotomy, CNA and GNA. He was employed as a phlebotomist and medical assistant at the Mountain View Health Care in Rawlings. He volunteered over the years with the Burlington Volunteer Fire Department, Wiley Ford Fire Department and the LaVale Volunteer Fire Department. He loved working on cars, hunting and fishing and also enjoyed playing video games, magic tricks, bowling, computers and camping. Robbie was a very family-oriented person and loved spending time with his nephews and hanging out with friends.
Surviving, in addition to his parents are his wife, Lauren Marie (Brooke) Bean; a sister, Renee Hodel and husband, Sean of Winchester, Va.; his father and mother-in-law, William Brooke of Keyser and Sharon Bosley and husband, Rick of Short Gap; two brothers-in-law, Scott Brooke of Phoenix, Ariz. and Ryan Brooke of Keyser; four nephews, Joseph, Jeremiah, Isaiah and Jonah Hodel and his special pet cat, Annabelle.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Phillip Dayton officiating. The family will also receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
