HAGERSTOWN — Mary Agnes Yosuico, 81, of Hagerstown, died on Monday, Jan. 7 2013.
Born Sept. 26, 1931 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Sabatino and Antonia Castellani Carpegna.
Mary was a graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Baltimore.
She was employed with the Washington County Hospital as a registered nurse in the Obstetrics Department and then with the Coffman Nursing Home, retiring in 1996.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters of America, Court 273.
Mary was an active volunteer her entire life. She taught CCD Classes at St. Mary's Church, was a playground monitor at St. Mary's School, Girl Scouts leader, and volunteer parent at Northwood Swim Club. She volunteered at the Hagerstown Community Free Clinic for the last 15 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Patricia Yosuico of Nashville, Tenn. and Theresa Anne Stahl and husband Jim of LaVale; a sister, Frances V. Carpegna; and two grandchildren, Sarah and Benjamin Stahl.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 224 West Washington St., Hagerstown, The Rev. Collin Poston will officiate.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.
