CHRISTOPHER E. WEDDLE [Frostburg]

— FROSTBURG — Christopher E. Weddle, 50, of Frostburg, died on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at his residence with his faithful dog, Jane, by his side.

He was born Aug. 2, 1962, in Frostburg, to the late Harry S. and Catherine (McGuire) Weddle. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, James Weddle.

Chris was formerly em-ployed with the City of Frostburg in the street department as a heavy equipment operator. He was a former member of the Frostburg Fire Department, American Legion Farrady Post 24, Frostburg Moose Lodge 348 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Arie 1273.  Chris had a very kind heart and was always willing to help a friend in need at a moments notice.

Surviving are his two sisters, Ann L. Leatherman, of New Creek, W.Va. and Susan R. Malloy and husband Brian, of Ellerslie; two brothers, Harry S. Weddle, Jr. and wife Sandy, of Bellwood, Pa. and Michael R. Weddle and wife Helen, of Frostburg; sister-in-law, Georgia Weddle, of Hagerstown and numerous nieces and nephews.

In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated and inurned beside his parents in Saint Michael’s Parish Cemetery.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Chris’s honor to Western Maryland Intergroup (District 17) of Alcoholics Anonymous, P.O. Box 635, Frostburg, MD 21532.
