CENTERVILLE, Pa. — Retha Leona Nave, 85, of Centerville, Pa., passed away Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at Penn Knoll Nursing Home.
Born Dec. 18, 1927, in Cumberland, Mrs. Nave was the daughter of the late Paul Nycum and Leona Pearl (Gaither) Nycum. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brandi S. Nave.
A homemaker, Mrs. Nave was a charter member of the Cumberland Valley Township Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and a member of the Centerville United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Nave is survived by her husband of 66 years, Thomas B. “Sparky” Nave and her sons. William T. Nave and wife Jane, and Doug Nave and wife Pennie, all of Centerville, Pa. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jessica Swick and husband Bud, Lauren Clites and husband Brett, Danielle Bingham and husband Matt and Darrin Nave; her great-grandchildren, Brady Swick and Owen Clites and her half-sister, Rita Hardy and husband Lynn.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, from 2 to 4 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. John Hollis officiating.
Interment will be in Union Cemetery.
