— FROSTBURG — John Richard Arnone, 73, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.

He was born May 16, 1939, in Frostburg to the late Samuel and Jennie (Arnone) Arnone. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Tony, Michael and Victor and two sisters, Susan Greco and Emma Fiumara.

John was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church, Frostburg and the Cresaptown Eagles 2883. He was the former owner and operator of The Bowery Bar and later worked for FSU as a painter.

Surviving are his three sisters, Carmela Stanton, of Frostburg, Joanne Vera, of Florida and Mary Theresa Barranco, of Whiteford; three brothers, Francis Arnone, of LaVale, Joseph Arnone, of Frostburg and Thomas Arnone, of West Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Arnone was cremated in accordance with his wishes.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Michaels Catholic Church, 44 E. Main St., Frostburg, on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at 11 a.m. with Father Ed Hendricks as celebrant. A bereavement dinner will be held following the services in St. Michaels’ Hall.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be directed to the American Cancer Society, 1050 Industrial Blvd., Cumberland, MD 21502.
