CUMBERLAND — FLORIDA — Sheila Rae (Goodge) Weatherholt, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 5, 2013, in The Villages Regional Hospital in Florida with her loving husband, John at her side.  

She was the daughter of the late Doug and Beth Goodge; sisters, Joanne (Bud) Taylor, Marilyn (Ken) Jenkins; brother, Dr. John (Beth) Goodge; loving aunt of Lee, Brad, Brian Taylor, Sue Boyd, Carrie, Ian and Ben Goodge and great-aunt of Jenn, Jeff, Lucas, Kayla, Adam, Gabby, Izzy, Marin, Justin, Josh and Katie.

She was preceded in death by Rob Jenkins.  

Rae was a devoted teacher who loved every child she taught. She had a strong faith in the Lord and believed it was through the Lord that she met and married, “her John.” She had a wonderful 13 months with John traveling and feeling very much loved and appreciated. She will be greatly missed by her faithful companion, “Sparky Dude.” She always believed that the Lord had a plan for her, even after her diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, and her treatments began.  

At Rae’s request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in Florida will be at a later date.  

Inurnment of ashes in London, Canada (date to be determined).  

Arrangements entrusted with Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, Belleview, Fla.
