CRESAPTOWN — William Edward Armolt, 81, of Cresaptown, passed away on Thursday Nov. 14, 2013, at Baltimore-Washington Medical Center, Glen Burnie.
Born on May 29, 1932, in Cross, W.Va., he was the son of the late Andrew and Anna (Hoopengarner) Armolt. He was also preceded in death by his wife Priscilla E. (Henson) Armolt on April 18, 2013, also preceded by two children, Terry Holland, Sarah Fouts; four brothers and three sisters.
William was a long shoreman until retirement. He was a a member of the Keyser Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are six daughters, Ada Sturgill, of Glen Burnie, Donna Barton and Mary Armolt, both of Baltimore, Hallie Maynard and Elizabeth Murphy, both of Florida and Cheryl Evitt, of North Carolina; a brother, Norman Armolt, of Cresaptown; two sisters, Freda Little, of South Carolina and Mary Millwood, of Keyser, W.Va., 20 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013, at 1 p.m. in the McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta, W.Va., with Pastor Robert Jeffreys officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Kalbaugh Cemetery, Elk Garden, W.Va.
