William Albert Arnold Sr.

— CUMBERLAND — William Albert Arnold Sr., 59, of Cumberland, died on Saturday, July 10, 2010, at his home in his wife’s arms and surrounded by his loving family.

Born Nov. 12, 1950, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Jesse Ervin Arnold and Goldie Valadith (Canable) Arnold.

Bill was a member of Full Gospel Church and was retired from Howell Trucking and also worked at Hawkinson Tread Company.

Bill was an avid outdoorsman, spent many hours in his “Pops Garage” and most important to him was spending time with his family and grandchildren, as well as his dog, “Mitch.” He leaves behind a multitude of friends.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Hazel L. Arnold, of Cumberland; two sons, Wil-liam A. Arnold Jr., and wife Anita, of Cumberland, and Kevin R. Arnold, of Cumberland; a grandson, Dillon L. Arnold; a granddaughter, Madison H. Sibley; two brothers, Jesse E. Arnold Jr. and wife Rosemary, of Fort Ashby, W.Va. and Denny Arnold and partner Bryan Morgan, of Cumberland; three sisters, Peggy Brown and husband Marshall, of Wolfordsburg, Pa., Rita Duckworth and husband Jerry, of Cumberland, and Rebecca Hanekamp, of New York; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Monday, July 12, 2010, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. James Peters and the Rev. Betty Kennedy officiating.

Interment will be in Forest Glen Cemetery, Greenspring, W.Va.
