— BOYNTON, Pa. — Belmont Louis “Babe” Lenhart, 88, of Boynton, died Sunday, July 13, 2014, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Born Feb. 1, 1926, at Garrett, Pa., he was the son of the late Philson and Thelma (Grant) Lenhart.

Mr. Lenhart was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Melissa Lenhart, Cindy Friend; and four brothers, Charles, Guy, Jay and Homer Lenhart.

Mr. Lenhart was a shipper for Pittsburgh Knipple Works. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and was a member of Meyersdale Church of the Brethren where he ushered for 50 years.

Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Dorothy E. (Livengood) Lenhart; one son, Bryan Lenhart and wife, Linda, Accident; one daughter, Brenda Vaughn and husband, Jack L. Jr., Boynton; three sisters, Thelma Nolte and Sarah Gary, both of Meyersdale, Joyce Nicklow, Thomasville, Pa.; 10 grandchildren, Lori Menges, Tiffany Sebold, Chad Sebold, Shawna Nicol, Bryan Lenhart, Judy Platter, Robert Green, Anna Vaughn, Doug Vaughn, Mitchell Vaughn; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-geat-grandson.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Highway, Salisbury, on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Thursday, July 17, 2014, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Eric Shaulis and Pastor Dottie Grew officiating.

Interment will be in the Springs Cemetery.

Military rites will be accorded by local veterans organizations.
