HYNDMAN, Pa. — Lois Irene Bush, 85, of Hyndman, Pa., died Tuesday May 7, 2013, at the Lions Center.
Born May 17, 1927, in Hyndman, she was a daughter of the late Clyde H. and Myrtle E. (Burkett) Snyder. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Jacob “Jake” Bush in 2006.
Survived by a sister, Patricia Willison and husband Freddie, of Hyndman; sister-in-law, Ethel Goodwin, of Raleigh, N.C.; brother-in-law, Donald Bush, of North Carolina and many nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star and VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was also the Director at the Hyndman Senior Citizens.
Lois and her husband Jake owned and operated of the Thunderbird Restaurant in Hyndman. She had also worked at GC Murphy, Guy Hyre’s Bakery and Dorothy O’Roke Insurance Company.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home Inc., 169 Clarence St., Hyndman, on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Harold Bowser officiating.
Burial will be at Hyndman Cemetery.
