JOHN W. TAYLOR SR. [Aberdeen]

— ABERDEEN — John Wayne Taylor Sr., 63, of Aberdeen, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Harford Memorial Hospital.

Born in Keyser, W.Va., he was the son of the late Henry and Georgia (Helmick) Taylor. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his two brothers, Harry and Floyd; one sister, Joanne and twin grandchildren, Jeremy and Jarrod Taylor.

He was a graduate of Piedmont High School, class of 1968.

Mr. Taylor has previously worked for Firestone Plastics in Perryville. He was very active with various youth organizations in the Aberdeen area as well as a volunteer with the Aberdeen Parks & Rec. for over 18 years and the Aberdeen Boys & Girls Club for over eight years. He was a member of the TAP pool league where he was the Regional Director for the Mid-Atlantic 2 Region.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Nancy C (Windle) Taylor; sons, John W. Taylor Jr. and his companion Kevin Limburg, of Harriman, Tenn. and William C. Taylor and companion Ericka Kelly, of Aberdeen; brothers, JR Taylor, of Lubbock, Texas and Robert and James Taylor, both of Westernport and his two grandchildren, Cody Parks, of Whiteford and William C. Taylor Jr., of Bel Air.

Services were be held on Wednesday, Feb. 13, at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home.
