FROSTBURG — Jarold H. Bittner, 67, of Frostburg, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, W.Va.

Born Nov. 6, 1944, in Frostburg, to parents Elmer and Iola Bittner; he is preceded in death by his parents and wife Jane E. (Kidwell) Bittner.

Jarold was retired from City of Frostburg, Street Department. He was a member of Moose Lodge 348, F.O.E. 1273, Farrady Post 24 S.A.L. and a lifetime member of Frostburg Elks 470 and Midland Sportmans Club.

Surviving are three children, daughter Julie Bittner, of Frostburg and sons, Jeffrey Bittner, of Frostburg and Jarold Lee Bittner, of Front Royal, Va.; five grandchildren, Jennie Myers, Jamie Myers, Ashley Schneph, Christopher and Kayla Bittner; companion, Linda Myers; triplet brother, Harold Bittner, of Frostburg; triplet sister, Carol Ann Klink, of LaVale and sisters, Mary Stott, of Oldtown and Darlene Lavin, of Frostburg and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will be received at Durst Funeral Home P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Oct. 14, 2012, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jennifer Webber officiating. Following the service, Jarold will be cremated in accordance with his wishes.
