CENTERVILLE, Pa. — Samuel Cornelius “Rusty” Rust III, 50, of Centerville, Pa., passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at the University of Maryland Hospital, Baltimore, as a result of an automobile accident.
Born Jan. 1, 1962, the first baby of the New Year in Ellis County, Texas, Rusty was the son of Samuel Cornelius Rust II and Norma Lee (Cruikshank) Rust, of Centerville, Pa.
Rusty was a construction worker by trade. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. His grandchildren were the joy of his life.
Rusty is survived by his wife, Sandra, of Centerville, Pa. and his daughters, Krystal Martin and husband Troy, of Kankakee, Ill., Jessica Rust, of Kankakee, Ill. and Samantha Minnick and husband Travis, of Mount Storm, W.Va. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Dirk Brubaker and Erica Brubaker, both of Cumberland and Cody Brubaker and wife Jennifer, of Altoona, Pa.; his sister, Kimberly Chase and husband Skip, of Bel Air; his brother, Shannon Rust and wife Becky, of Centerville, Pa. and his grandchildren, Adyson, Aiden, Travis, Colton, Aamya, Noah, and Xavier.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, from 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John Ritchey, former Chaplain with Headlight in Trucking, officiating.
Interment will be in Fellowship Cemetery, Centerville, Pa.
