STELLA, N.C. — James “Jim” Dale Mullennex, 79, of Stella, formerly of Carpendale, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013 at Two Rivers Rehabilitation Center, Newbern, N.C.
He was a former employee of PPG, Cumberland.
Jim was an active member of Midway United Methodist Church in Stella. He was a former member of Holy Cross United Methodist Church in Carpendale.
Jim was a coach for 25 years with the Ridgeley Rams.
He was a member of Davis Lodge 51, A.F. & A.M., Keyser; 32nd. Degree, Wheeling Scottish Rite Bodies; and Forest 140, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Cumberland. He also be-longed to the William Shuck Jr. Memorial Post 136, American Legion, Ridgeley, W.Va., and was a life member of CAYFL, Cumberland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Ruth Mullennex.
Surviving are his loving wife of 53 years, Ann Mullennex; his son, Brian Mullennex; two daughters, Shari Webb and Ashlee Mullennex; a sister, Sharon Gray, Carpendale; a brother, Bob Mullennex, and wife Darlene, Cross Lanes, W.Va.; a grandson, Cody Mullennex; granddaughters, Wendy Printy, Tracey Garcia and Chari Rae Michaels, Jessica Michaels, and Shawnee Michaels; a special sister-in-law, Mary Gibbner and husband Charlie, Flintstone; special nephews, Tim Tunis and wife Jackie, Cary, N.C. and Ritchie Gray, Carpendale.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Holy Cross United Methodist Church, Carpendale.
Burial will be in the McNeeley Cemetery in Hendricks, W.Va. on Sunday afternoon.
