— KENNELLS MILL, Pa. — Annie P. Deneen, 89, of Kennells Mill, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013 at her home.

Born Oct. 5, 1924, in Southampton Township, Somerset County, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Clarence B. and Saloma Viola (Clites) Emerick. She was also preceded in death by a son, Leroy K. Deneen; brothers, John, Ray and Leo Emerick; sisters, Blanche Ohler, Lillie Osborne and Eva Emrick

Survived by her husband of 70 years, Leroy M. “Boots” Deneen, whom she married Jan. 17, 1943; daughter, Pamela Hutzell and husband Harry of Kennells Mill; a granddaughter, Robin White and husband Charles and a great-grandson, Robert White all of Frederick; sister, Ilene Kennell of Hyndman, Ruby Shroyer of Cumberland; brothers, Vernon and Chester Emerick all of Hyndman, Curtis Emerick of Lewes, Del.; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Dick Donelson and Wendy Sechler.

Annie worked for Weinschel Engineering and Lake Side Elementary School of Gaithersburg. She was a wonderful wife, homemaker and mother. She loved serving the Lord, gardening, cooking and spending time with family.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence St., Hyndman, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday at Comps Church from 10 to 11 a.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at Comps Church, Southampton Township, Hyndman, Pa., on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Roger Huffman officiating.

Burial will follow at Comps Cemetery.
