FROSTBURG — Sarah E. Winebrenner, 88, of Frostburg, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Egle Nursing Home in Lonaconing.

Born Feb. 25, 1925 in Midland, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Sarah (Shearer) Stevenson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Ellsworth Winebrenner in 1997; her brothers, Louis Stevenson, Cecil Stevenson, John Stevenson, Wilbert Stevenson; her sisters, Hester Burkhulder, Ida Muncy, and Leona Lewis.

Sarah was a member of the Cresaptown United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Local 26 Kelly Retirees, the Cumberland Senior Citizens Western Maryland Council, Ridgeley Senior Citizens, and the Cresaptown Senior Citizens.  Sarah was retired from the laundry department at the Memorial Hospital in Cumberland.

Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews including Wilma “Wink” Stevenson of Midland, Richard Stevenson and wife Marilyn of Frostburg, Dewey Lewis of Cumberland, and numerous nieces and nephews in Conneaut Lake, Pa.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home P.A. ( Cresaptown, on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.    

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Harold R. McClay Jr. officiating.

Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Egle Nursing Home, Activities Department 57 Jackson St., Lonaconing, MD 21539.
