CATHREAN T. MIGDOL [Cumberland]

CUMBERLAND — Cathrean T. Migdol, 83, of Cumberland, passed away at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, March 19, 2013.  

She was the daughter the late Lee Funk and Gatie (Davis) Funk. She was also preceded in death by her son, Larry Migdol, of Cumberland and one sister Arlena Beeman, of Cumberland.

Cathrean was Catholic by faith. She was a member of the Cresaptown Eagles. She was a past member of the Allegany County Shuffleboard League , the Cumberland Moose Lodge and Cumberland VFW. She was last employed at the Kensington Algonquin as a cook.

She was an avid cook, and also enjoyed baking, gardening and canning. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her dog BoJo and cat Toby.

She is survived by three daughters Shirley Sweitzer, of Cumberland, Kathleen Rose and husband Murray, of Cumberland and Mary Ternent and husband Larry, of LaVale.; three sons, Ronnie Poling and wife Priscilla, of California, James Migdol and wife Judy, of Pennsylvania and Michael Jr. and wife Vicki, of LaVale; one sister, Delores Simmons and husband Ronald, of Pennsylvania; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 21, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., (www.scarpellifh.com), Cumberland.

Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday, March 22, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Martin Lease officiating.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.

Pallbearers will be Jason Boyce, Adam Boyce, Brian Twigg, Josh Weimer, Justin Ternent and Ron Kelly. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Ternent and Murray Rose.

“Nan” will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
