CUMBERLAND — Evelyn N. “Emmy” Williams, 86, of Cresaptown, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the Golden Living Center.

Born Nov. 9, 1926 in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Ernest M. Pueschel Sr. and Mable M. (Stevens) Pueschel.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest M. Pueschel Jr.; and a sister, Helen V. Byrne.

Evelyn was a 1945 graduate of Allegany High School and a 1949 graduate of Memorial Hospital School of Nursing; she retired from Memorial Hospital serving in both the Emergency Room and the Same Day Surgery Unit. She was a member of Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Leo Williams; two daughters, N. Jean Warren and husband Jeff, Washington, D.C. and Linda S. Keebaugh and husband Ted, Longview, Texas; two grandsons, Jeffrey Warren and wife Michelle, Augusta, Ga. and Todd Keebaugh and wife Lori, Longview; and two granddaughters, Rebeccah Balboa and husband, Tommy, and Nicole Warren; and four great grandchildren, Madison Balboa, Conner Balboa, Trenton Keebaugh and Tyson Keebaugh.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., Cresaptown, ( Friday, March 22, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m. A Christian Wake will be held at 6:45 p.m. with Fr. Bernard Finerty, O.F.M.,Cap. officiating.

A funeral and committal service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Fr. Bernard Finerty, O.F.M., Cap.officiating.

Interment will be in the Maryland State Veteran’s Cemetery, Rocky Gap.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Golden Living Center for the excellent care given “Emmy” for the last nine years.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Golden Living Sunshine Club, 512 Winifred Road, Cumberland, MD 21502.
