— BERLIN, Pa. — Nellie Mae Matieszyn, 81, Berlin, was called home to heaven to be with her Savior, Thursday, March 21, 2013.  

Born May 11, 1931, in Meyersdale, a daughter of Robert and Mary Alberta (Beeman) Bowman. She was preceded in death by parents; sister Ruth Drabish; brother Leroy Bowman and great-granddaughter Angelina Brown.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Michael; children, Rose Stottlemyer and husband Mike, of West Virginia; Michael Jr. married to the former Karen Peck, of Somerset, Dale married to the former Vicki Tokar, Rebecca and Donna Matieszyn, all of Berlin, and David and fiancee Donna Delecki, of West Virginia; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and sister Rose Ohler, of Meyersdale.

Nellie “Grandma” was loved deeply by her family and all who had the honor of knowing her. She served the Lord faithfully as a prayer warrior, as well as singing with her family, “The Matieszyn Family” over 50 years. We have comforting knowledge to know we will soon see you again, mom, and absent from the body, you are present with the Lord.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev. M.D. Herring and Michael Stottlemyer Jr. officiating.  

Interment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Berlin.
