— KEYSER, W.Va. — Edna Grace Williamson, 85, a resident of Heartland of Keyser Nursing Home, formerly of Ellifritz Addition, Keyser, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, Feb.18, 2013 at the nursing home.

Born on Oct. 8, 1927 at Mahone, Ritchie County, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late William Rufus and Icie Bliss (VanHorn) Scott. She also was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Eli James Bruno and Ashley Jean (Harr) Garlitz; six sisters, Goldie Stemple, Hazel Sims, Wilma Haddad, Ethel Barker, Rena Jo Scott and Beulah Hall; and two brothers, Wesley B. Scott and William Rufus Scott. Mrs. Williamson was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Mrs. Williamson served for many years as the secretary and treasurer at the Bonnieview Apostolic Chapel in Keyser, where her husband served as pastor for 34 years. Through the entire 34 years of their ministry, she has served as a stalwart beacon of her faith, helping to physically build the church, serving as Sunday School director, President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the church, as the Ladies Counselor and was very instrumental in the fundraising programs of the church.

A talented craftsman in many senses of the word, she was an avid quilter having made nearly 50 handmade quilts for family members and close personal friends. She enjoyed crocheting, painting and wood working and was very involved in the building and completion of their home from framing and drywall finishing to painting the walls and roofing. She also was very musically inclined, proficient on both organ and piano, saxophone, but also reverted to her first love in instruments, the Hawaiian steel guitar. She also was a voracious and compulsive reader.

Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Rev. James C. Williamson; her children, Randall James Williamson and wife Debby of Keyser, Rheta Darlene Garlitz and husband Tim of Keyser, Denise Lynn Bruno and husband John Bruno Jr. of New Creek, W.Va. and Brent Clare Williamson and wife Debra of Keyser; 12 grandchildren, Michelle East, Brandy Williamson, Kandi Williamson, Randy "Gizmo" Williamson, Jeremy Garlitz, James Garlitz, Dr. Gerard Mengang Garlitz, JoLia Zimmerman, John David Bruno, Scott Bruno, Brent Williamson II and Tyler Hartman; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Bonnieview Apostolic Chapel on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Daniel Garlitz and the Rev. Robert Fazzalore officiating. Friends may also call at the church one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
