ROWLESBURG, W.Va. — James Delbert Wolfe, 48, of Rowlesburg, passed away Monday, March 24, 2014 from a pulmonary embolism.
Delbert was born June 30, 1965, in Kingwood, a son of Dallas and Jean Wolfe of Rowlesburg.
He was a 1983 graduate of Rowlesburg High School, served in the United States Air Force, was a millwright by trade, a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local 1024, Cumberland.
Along with his parents, Jean and Biff, Delbert is survived by Diana Stevens, with whom he shared his home; Diana’s children, Robert Lynn Mayne Jr. and Joana Maria Plum of Tunnelton; a sister and spouse, Terri and Jerry Bulford of Bluefield; two brothers, Dallas D. and Denise Wolfe of Kingwood and Paul and Andrea Wolfe of Rowlesburg; nine nieces and nephews, Jerry F. Bulford Jr., Martha Jean Webb, Dallas J. Wolfe IV, Sara L. Harper, Evan Michael Wolfe, Donald Christopher Bolyard, Paula Michelle Jacobs, Mitchell Ross Hartley and Christopher Ray Hartley; four great nieces and nephews, Jerry III, Joana, George and Katie and Diana’s granddaughter, Kaydence Raeanna Roy, who brought him great joy.
Delbert lived as much of his life as he could outdoors, trapping, mushrooming, hunting, trout fishing, camping, playing horseshoes and being a papaw. Family and friends may call at the Browning Funeral Home, Burke Chapel, Rowlesburg, from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 28, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 29, 2014 with Brother Clyde Sypolt officiating.
