WELLERSBURG, Pa. — James Albert Kennell, 64, of Wellersburg, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born Aug. 10, 1949, in Wellersburg, he was a son of the late Albert Adam and Edna Elizabeth (Gomer) Kennell. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Linda Lou Kennell; inspirational neighbor, Pastor Ed Shockey; and lifelong friend, Will Hartman.
He is survived by a special aunt, Mildred Aristidou of Baltimore; a cousin and lifelong neighbor, Violet Shockey; lifelong friends, Ed Spataro, Wayne and Nicole Groves, and Jeff and Julie Sechler; special friends and caregivers, James and Holly Kamauf and their children, Dylan, Owen, Hayden, and Luke.
Along with a special thanks to Dennis and Tara Delzell and all the staff at the Western Maryland Health System.
Jim devoted his life to his love of Mopars, drag racing, rifles and shotguns. He was a true legend in the Mopar community and his kindness and lovingness to all whom he met will be greatly missed.
