LONACONING — Henry Irvin Boore, 93, of Sunlight Drive, Lonaconing, died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland.
Born in Knapps Meadown on May 5, 1920, he was the son of the late Tilton R. Boore and Bertha Florence (Perrin) Boore. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Dora Boore and Virginia Anderson and five brothers, Raymond, Norman, James, Melvin and Harry Boore.
Henry was a member of Midland Grace United Methodist Church. He retired from the Kelly Springfield Tire Co. in 1982. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Eva Anna (Bridges) Boore; three daughters, Louise Bohn and husband John, Jane Fogg and Elaine Martin and husband Jim; one son, Robert Boore and wife Sandra; nine grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Midland, on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013, at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Harry Burchell officiating.
Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.
