CUMBERLAND — Paul Oliver Foltz, 86, of Cumberland, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, at his home.
Born Feb. 23, 1927, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Jacob Martin and Lydia (Brashear) Foltz. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alpha (Boone) Foltz; two sisters, Juanita Hansrote and Leola Foltz and one brother, Russell Foltz.
Mr. Foltz served as a Master Sergeant in the US Army during World War II in the European Arena. He was a member of Calvary Methodist Church, Ridgeley, where he taught Sunday School. He was retired from the Kelly Springfield Tire Company where he was manager of Production Control. He loved music and spent many hours playing his organs at home.
Surviving is his daughter Paulette Orndorff and husband Larry, of Cumberland; two grandsons Andrew Orndorff and wife Christina, of Frostburg and Brian Orndorff and wife Sheri, of Hagerstown and four great-grandchildren, Lucas, Caroline, Benjamin and Addison.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., Cresaptown (www.scarpellifh.com) on Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mike Lashbaugh officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
