AUGUSTA, W.Va. — Ruth E. Wolfe, 95, of Augusta, W.Va., passed away surrounded by family at her home on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013.
Ruth was born on Nov. 28, 1917 in Augusta, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur E. and Margaret B. (McKee) McBride.
She was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Augusta United Methodist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Janet E. Saville and husband Bob of Flintstone, Nancy Hott Buckler and husband Phil of Slanesville, W.Va., Dianne E. Hott and her late husband Grover of Kirby, W.Va.; a son, Oran E. Wolfe Jr. and wife Stephani of Augusta, W.Va.; a brother, Wilbur E. McBride Jr. of Stephenson, Va.; six grandchildren, Gretta Ramsey, Grover E. Hott II, Rebekah Heavener, Carla Eckard, Harwell Hott Jr., Madison Wolfe; ten great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Scott Saville; three sisters, Rachael Ford, Juanita Cummings, Mary Ann McBride; a brother, Marshall Lee McBride and a son-in-law, Harwell Hott Sr.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at 2 p.m. in McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta, W.Va., with Pastor Deborah Shreve and Pastor Stephon Reed officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Augusta, W.Va.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home as well as one hour prior to services.
