GOLDIE V. BENNETT [Flintstone]

— FLINTSTONE — Goldie Violet Bennett, 88, of Flintstone, passed away Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.

Born Dec. 18, 1924, in Smoke Hole, W.Va., Mrs. Bennett was the daughter of the late Homer Glen Propst and Mary Jane (Kimble) Propst. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George W. Bennett, July 31, 2003; three sisters, Anna M. Carder, Mildred K. Propst, and Elsie G. Peterson; and three brothers, Earl Propst, KIA during Vietnam, Stanley Propst, and Harlan Propst.

A homemaker, Goldie was a former member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She is survived by her son, Larry E. Bennett, Oldtown; and her daughters, Judy Ann Harris and husband, Jacob, Bedford, Pa. and Bonnie Marie Sampson and husband, Earl, Lewisburg, W.Va. Goldie also leaves behind her brother, Rodney Wayne Propst, Cumberland; her sisters, Lois Jean Prysock, Ridgeley, W.Va., Barbara V. Wentling and husband, Bernard, Oldtown, and, Carole L. Humbertson, Cresaptown; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, from 6 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Fred Iser officiating.

Interment will be in Glendale Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
