LAVALE — Jean Kathryn (Yommer) Livengood, 81, of LaVale, formerly of Grants-ville, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland.

Born Oct. 6, 1932, at Grantsville, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Beulah (Younkin) Yommer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Clayton Livengood, on Oct. 17, 2003 and a grandson, David Thomas Wilson.

Mrs. Livengood was the bookkeeper for Livengood Plumbing and Heating. She was a member of the Homemaker’s Club and volunteered at the gift shop at Sacred Heart Hospital.

She is survived by one son, Bradley C. Livengood and wife Millie, of Gaithersburg; one daughter, Julia L. Wilson and husband Thomas, of Kissimmee, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Spencer, Chase, Victoria and Keri Anne Livengood, Sarah Underwood and husband Scott, Adam and Rachel Wilson; three great-grandchildren, Hannah, Hailey and Ethan; two sisters, Gloria Martin and husband William J. “Bill” and Patricia Jones and husband David L. “Bob” and dear friend and neighbor, Carol Dennison.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Karen Tate officiating.

Interment will be in the Grantsville Cemetery.
