PAW PAW, W.Va. — Gladys Irene Crouse, 91, of Paw Paw, W.Va., died on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at her home.

Mrs. Crouse was born on Jan. 8, 1922 in Bloomery, W.Va., a daughter of the late Clark and Lula M. Wolford Keiter. She was a 1939 graduate of Capon Bridge High School, owned and operated Woodrow Grocery. She was a member of the Woodrow Christian Church near Paw Paw, W.Va., where she served as Treasure, participated in the Ladies Auxiliary and the choir.

Mrs. Crouse married H. Marshall Crouse on Dec. 24, 1943 in Cumberland.

Surviving with her husband of 69 years is a daughter, Sharon L. Perkins and her husband Harvey of Louisa, Va.; a brother, Vaughn Keiter of Bloomery, W.Va.; a granddaughter, April A. Braun and her husband Tim of Haymarket, Va.; two great-grandchildren, Alex and Zach Braun.

She is preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Keiter.

A funeral service will be at Woodrow Christian Church on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, at 2 p.m. Officiating will be Pastor Nathan Travis. Interment will be at the Woodrow Cemetery near Paw Paw, W.Va.

Family will receive friends at the Woodrow Christian Church on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m.
