NELETTA “NETTIE” (ZEMBOWER) KROLL [Frostburg]

FROSTBURG — Neletta "Nettie" (Zembower) Kroll, 85, of Frostburg, died on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.

Born Feb. 7, 1928 in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Charles Zembower and Margaret (Deremer) Zembower. She is preceded in death by her husband, George J. Kroll; brothers, Charles Zembower and George Zembower.

She worked for 30 years at the Au Petit Paris Restaurant in Frostburg. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ.

She is survived by sons, George D. Kroll and wife Merry Lee, Frostburg and Jerry Zembower and wife Frances, Frostburg; grandchildren, James Zembower, Kaitlin Zembower, Brandy Mehrzad, and Lyndsey Baker; great-grandchildren, Aiden Zembower, Evan Zembower, Emma Zembower, Sabastian Mehrzad, Nicole Mehrzad, Ellie Jane Baker, and Charles David Baker. Also surviving brothers, William Zembower and wife Birdie, Cumberland, Royce Zembower and wife Geraldine, Centerville, Verle Zembower and wife Alice, Centerville, Marian Ferguson and husband Scott, Billings, Mont.; and sister, Rebecca Eckard and husband Robert, Frostburg; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jim Jeffries officiating.

Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Royce Douty, Wesley Kroll, Jon Lancaster, Kevin Zembower, Brian Zembower, Bob Hopkins, and Mike Griffith

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
