JERRY L. DIXON SR. [Frostburg]

— FROSTBURG — Jerry L. Dixon Sr., 64, of Frostburg, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.

He was born on July 26, 1948 in Deer Park, to the late Walter and Naomi R. (Hoover) Dixon. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, James, Billy and Mike Dixon.

Jerry was the former owner and operator of Dixons Contracting and a member of Big Savage Sportsman Club.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Barbara (Brady) Dixon; three sons, Jerry L. Dixon Jr. and wife Jessica, Casper, Wyo., Michael Dixon and wife Amanda, Frostburg, Joseph Andrew Dixon and wife Christy, Frostburg; nine grandchildren, Levi, Seth, Wyatt, Cassidy, Jasmine, Dominic, Colton, Taylor, Brady Dixon; one brother, Jack Dixon and wife Toni, Sand Point, Idaho; three sisters, Naomi Jane Schroyer and husband Jack, LaVale, Irene Burnfield and husband Jim, Ohio, Carol Peters and husband Chuck, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will be received at Durst Funeral Home P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Matthew Eichorn officiating.

Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
