CUMBERLAND — Rosetta E. Baer, 85, of Cumberland, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born Feb. 14, 1928, in Manheim, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Olen and Grace Miller. She is also preceded in death by her husband, William D. Baer and a brother, Vernon Miller.
Rose retired from Peskins and Rosenbaums Department Stores as a sales clerk. She was Lutheran by faith and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. She was active with the “Never Too Late Girls” and line dancing at Nancy Lepley’s Dance Studio. She attended the senior citizen center on Virginia Avenue where she loved her friends, the staff and participating in all of the activities.
She is survived by one daughter, Vicki Espinosa and husband John, of Buckeystown; one son, Douglas Baer and wife Jianrong, of Sterling, Va.; four grandchildren, Betsy Espinosa, of Buckeystown, Sharon Espinosa and husband Jonas Westerlund, of Buckeystown, Nicole Badolato and husband Adam, of Grand Forks, N.D. and Brian Conn, of Clearwater, Fla. and two great-grandchildren, Seth and Ethan Badolato, of Grand Falls, N.D.
Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., (www.scarpellifh.com) 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Thursday, July 11, from 5 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted Friday, July 12, in the funeral home at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harold McClay Jr. officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
