MEYERSDALE, Pa. — Sheridan A. “Hank” Logue, 87, of Meyersdale, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at In Touch Hospice House, Somerset.
Born Aug. 21, 1925, in Coal Run, the son of Robert G. and Delma (Gray) Logue. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Joseph.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, the former Veda Caton; sons, Robert Logue and wife Marie and Daniel Logue and wife Patsy; grandchildren, Tammy (Bill), Tracy (Jim), Tonya (Dave), Scott (Jennifer) and Yolonda (Mike); great-grandchildren, Cory, Brittany, Brianna, Austin, Taylor, Drew, Parker, Jordan, Mallory, Jason, Eric and John and great-great-granddaughter, Kaylie. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy serving on LST 61 at the Invasion of Normandy.
Hank was a member of the Pentecostal Apostolic Church, Meyersdale and attended Hostetler Church of the Brethren. He was a member of Carpenters Union 1024, Cumberland, Meyersdale American Legion and Meyersdale VFW.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Gary Green and the Rev. Joe Brown officiating.
Interment will be in Greenville Union Cemetery.
Graveside military rites will be accorded by the Somerset County Honor Guard.
Memorial contributions may be given to Hostetler Church of the Brethren or Somerset In-Touch Hospice.
