RONALD D. HARPER [Cumberland]

CUMBERLAND — Ronald David Harper, 49, of Cumberland, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.

Born Dec. 31, 1963, in Alexandria, Va., Mr. Harper was the son of the late Sharon Lee (White) Houdershell and the late John Creamer and wife, Sheila.

Ronnie was formerly employed at Cumberland Concrete. He was a member of the Cumberland Cougars. Ronnie enjoyed playing in the Eight-Ball League, serving as president of the league. He also played in the Shuffle Bowl League, the Darts League, the Horseshoe League, the Cumberland Slow Pitch Softball League serving as Captain of all his teams and being very proud on being on all the championship teams.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Sheila R. Harper; and his daughters, Rachel R. Harper and her friend, Eric Shaw and Kristen N. Harper-Lamp and husband, Justin, all of Cumberland. He also leaves behind his brothers, Michael Harper, Greg Harper, and Travis Houdershell, all of Cumberland; his sisters, Donna Harper-Lindner, Cumberland, Krystal Rosas and Dawn Sanchez, both of California; his granddaughter, Ande Harper; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland,  (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Friday, July 12, 2013 from 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, July 13, 2013 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 1 p.m. with Butch Jenkins officiating.

Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
