MARIE E. (WILT) FAZENBAKER [Grantsville]

GRANTSVILLE — Marie E. (Wilt) Fazenbaker, 87, of Grantsville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles (Buddy) Wilt; step-brothers, Frank Hay and Paul Hay; daughter, Mary Suter; and sons, Donald Fazenbaker and Ralph Fazenbaker; and great-grandson, Rhyan Mc-Kenzie. Marie was married to the late George (Dutch) Fazenbaker, who preceded her in death in 1964.

Marie worked as a seamstress at Flushing Shirt Factory, Grantsville and retired from Meyersdale Manufacturing Co, Meyersdale, Pa.

She is survived by her children, Larry (Gerri) Fazenbaker, Baltimore and Grantsville, Melvin Fazenbaker and Dale (Patty) Fazenbaker, all of Grantsville; JoAnn Maust, St. Paul, Pa., Betty (Gary) Beitzel, Grantsville; brothers, Calvin Wilt and Faye Wilt, both of Grantsville; sisters, Alverta Stanton and Betty Beachy, both of Grantsville, Shirlene Bittinger, Boynton, Pa. and Mary Etta Hay, Meyersdale.

Marie was a hard worker and she always got the job done somehow. She loved her family and took great pride in each one of them. She was a terrific cook and baker and was a very talented lady who could do just about anything. She was a wonderful MOM and the center of her children’s hearts. Marie leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a few great-great-grandchildren who will miss her love and care.

She will never be far away for she will live in our hearts through the great love she shared with us, her family.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013 at 3 p.m. with the Rev. George Plants officiating.
