SWANTON — Susan Marie Wilt, 87, of Chestnut Grove Road, Swanton, passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013 at Oakland Nursing and Rehab Center, Oakland.
Born Nov. 12, 1925 in West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Gertrude (Roby) Ray. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Vernon M. Wilt; two sons-in-law, Phillip Tichnell and Rob Nazelrod; and 13 brothers and sisters. She was the last survivor of her immediate family.
Mrs. Wilt was a homemaker.
She leaves behind a son, Milton Wilt and wife Jean of Swanton; five daughters, Linda Bowman and husband Ted of Oakland, Phyllis Tichnell of Chestnut Grove, Ellen Jane Harsh and husband Vernon of Eglon, W.Va., Jenny Nazelrod of Chestnut Grove, and Shirley Tichnell and husband Chris of Chestnut Grove. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren, including a special grandson, Joey Thomas.
As per Mrs. Wilt’s wishes, she was cremated.
There will be no visitation or services.
Inurnment will be at Murphy Cemetery, Dry Run, at a later date.
Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, is in charge of arrangements.
