— FROSTBURG — Joline Hess Nelson, 82, of Frostburg, died Friday, Nov. 22, 2013, at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.

Born Dec. 11, 1930, in Frostburg to Joseph Hess and Thelma (Stevens) Hess; she is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert E. “Ozzie” Nelson Sr.      

Joline retired from Potomac Edison as a Home Service Representative having graduated from Beall High School, class of 1948 and Catherman’s Business School. She was a member of Frostburg United Methodist Church, a charter member of Maplehurst Country Club, Ladies of the Elks 470, Farrady Unit 24 Ladies Auxiliary, Women of the Moose 348, and Charter Member of Frostburg Area Ambulance.

Surviving are two sons, Robert E. Nelson Jr. and wife Margie, of Frostburg and Jeffrey S. Nelson and wife Karen, of Pasadena; four grandchildren, Katie Lynn (Nelson) Heffington and husband James, of Camden, Del., Todd Jeffrey Nelson, of Buchannon, W.Va., Tanner William Nelson, of Rockville and Shane Michael Frank, of Pasadena; two great-grandchildren, Lo-gan and Tyler Heffington; one brother, Ronald “Cutty” Hess and wife Peggy, of Frostburg and a sister, Elaine Moran, of Frostburg.

A memorial service will be held in the Frostburg United Methodist Church on Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jennifer Webber officiating. Friends will be received at the church one hour prior to services.

A private interment will be held at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be directed to Frostburg United Methodist Church or Frostburg Area Ambulance Service.

The family is thankful to the staff of Assisted Living at Frostburg Village and Dr. Cynthia Fields for the care and love shown to their mother during her stay there.
