'Green thumb' blooms at Mason complex

Charlotte Abe, Cumberland

I want to thank the person or persons with "green thumbs" who planted flowers in the concrete boxes at the entrance to the C. Eugene Mason field in south Cumberland. I recently wrote to the editor expressing my concern about the lack of flowers in the boxes and the statement it made to our out-of-town visitors. No sooner was the article in the paper than someone had planted beautiful flowers in the boxes and lovingly mulched them.

Again, thanks for a job well done, to those responsible for the plantings.
