To the Editor:
I’m writing this letter to you to talk about trying to reopen Baltimore Street to the public.
I’m on Facebook Growing up in Cumberland and have been posting old photos of downtown back in its heyday when this town was booming with jobs.
The people who have commented to me on this photos say they remember what the town used to be and they agree that Baltimore Street should be reopened to the public.
Right now the downtown is just sitting there empty. When I’m walking on the mall and I see empty businesses it’s like a ghost town.
It’s time for the city government to get this street reopen and get new business in the empty buildings.
There are a lot of people in this town who want this street to be open. I don’t think it’s right for the city to keep this street closed
